What’s being alone and loneliness? Is there a difference you may ask? It’s a kind of gift that you give yourself or would love to be left alone with your own thoughts. Then what is lonely? That my friend is a punishment. If you are left to be alone out of forcefulness then it gets lonely. I read somewhere that being alone is an award of self, where you present yourself with it. But when forced the effects could be vulnerable.

Beating the blues with music
Alone you can have companionship with the music. The music soothes your soul, your mind relaxes and it rejuvenates. But loneliness can give you grief. The mood in which you listen to, says so much about your state of mind. Music transports you to the times of the song first heard, even gives you an unique experience depending on the situation that you are in right now. That’s the power of lyrics, sound, rhythm, beats.

An ocean of thoughts to dwell in to
Being alone with your thoughts gives access to strength, you can collect your ideas, put them in to order, refresh your brain. But being lonely in thoughts could lead you to depression. Your demon of thoughts could lead you to nowhere but anxiety. Alone even your thoughts gets a new definition, for you gain a new perspective that sometimes even gets you to believe in yourself.

A wanderer in to the world of books is never alone
Alone with books to keep you company is never loneliness. You jump in to world of novelty, drama, history, romance, facts and fiction. It creates an imaginary world for us to swim through and shape our ideas in to actions further. In fact with books you can self introspect. Some reading gives you courage and even a world viewed with rose tinted glass could be seen upon with a new vision and vice-versa.

Never a dull moment when you are on the road of self awareness to find out what it is like to know the real you when you are kept with the company of books, music & thoughts. In fact travelling alone also gives you great satisfaction. A solo traveler never gets lost. One would rather emerge out victorious from the maze, or submit themselves in to the wilderness.

Alone you get peace of mind,
so nobody can hurt you but be kind,
Alone you get to breathe,
to have a vision powerful and not freeze,
Alone you get to have fun,
and you don’t have to run,
Alone you can be wild & child
but not in exile.

A wave of thought when the tides touch upon your feet
a soul stirring solace when the water washes over you,
a ray of positivity as you witness a sunrise
a glimmer of hope as you catch hold of a sunset
a sigh of relief on climbing a mountain top,
a burden lift off, when perched upon on the beach sand,
alone you get to feel reassurance, a sense of calmness and a consolation.

And I recommend being alone from time to time. Try it! 😁
